Thank you for your interest in becoming a transportation provider.

Below are the key requirements to become an approved asset based truckload provider. 

Non-asset and/or non-truckload providers should contact [email protected] to determine if your company is eligible to become a transportation provider.

If your company is not compliant to one or more of the qualification criteria contained in this registration process, you may return at another time to register once the non-compliant items are corrected.

  • Provide a valid MC/MX or USDOT number to begin the registration process. Intrastate carriers without a DOT number may provide an applicable state registration number to begin registration.
  • Hold an active STANDARD CARRIER ALPHA CODE (SCAC) ASSIGNMENT issued by the NMFTA with concurring MC#.
  • Submit an electronic W9 or W8 form for taxpayer identification.
  • Submit a copy of your Hazardous Materials Registration (if applicable).
  • Complete this registration / carrier profile.
  • Read and ACCEPT the “Transportation NDA”.
  • Read and ACCEPT the “Motor Carrier Transportation Contract”
  • Have active Operating Authority.
  • Have a safety rating of Satisfactory or None.
  • Provide a Certificate of Insurance that meets the insurance minimum requirements below. Certificates must be submitted from your insurance producer (agent)
    • Worker's Compensation insurance in statutory amounts.
    • Employer's Liability insurance with limits of not less than $1,000,000.
    • Occurrence based commercial General Liability insurance including blanket contractual coverage, with combined single limits of $1,000,000 for personal injury, including death, and $1,000,000 for each occurrence for property damage including:
      • Premises operation; and
      • Contractual liability for the liability assumed by Carrier under this Contract.
    • Occurrence based Automobile Liability Insurance with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence. If Hazardous material is transported, the insurance required under this subparagraph is for $5,000,000.
    • Occurrence based cargo insurance with coverage of at least $100,000 per shipment. Carrier's cargo insurance policy must not exclude coverage for fraud, infidelity, unattended vehicle, dishonesty or criminal acts of Carrier's employees or agents.
  • If RMIS does not already have a copy of your certificate on file, we will request one for you from your insurance agent (producer).
